Over three days, the event showcased innovations designed to transform how businesses operate, collaborate, and create. From generative AI to world-class security, next-gen infrastructure, and computing—here’s my clear, direct, and genuinely excited recap.



AI for Everyone—For Real


Google didn’t just tell us their AI is good. They showed it in action. One of the stars was the new Gemini 2.5 Flash model, now integrated into Vertex AI. Built for high-volume use cases like customer service or document processing, this model balances speed, efficiency, and accuracy. The twist? It includes reasoning capabilities that fact-check before responding. Maybe you’ll wait a few seconds longer, but for far more reliable answers.

And that’s not all. Vertex AI is becoming a complete creative suite: from video, image, voice, and music generation to tools like Lyria, a text-to-music model that enables brands to create unique, emotional soundtracks with a distinct identity.

By the numbers, Vertex AI usage grew 20x over the past year. More than 4 million developers are now using Gemini. This isn’t the future—it’s already here.

Agentspace: Where AIs Talk to Each Other


One of the most exciting announcements was Google Agentspace, an initiative to enable the creation and coordination of autonomous AI agents. With the Agent Development Kit (ADK) and the A2A (Agent-to-Agent) protocol, Google introduced an architecture where different AIs can collaborate, regardless of their underlying technology.

Use case? Imagine a workflow where one AI books an appointment, another checks logistics, and a third adjusts marketing campaigns—autonomously and in sync. Science fiction turned into business functionality.

No AI without infrastructure. Google knows that, and it showed. They launched Ironwood, their 7th-gen TPU, built specifically for large-model inference and intensive generative AI use.

They also announced support for the highly anticipated NVIDIA B200 and GB200 NVL72 chips, ideal for training large language models (LLMs). And for those using TPU v5p, it's now generally available, delivering 4x the power of its predecessor.

What’s more, Google WAN is now open to third parties, giving businesses access to the same global low-latency network Google uses for itself.

The result? Faster, more scalable AI, closer to where data lives—thanks to improvements like Cloud Storage FUSE and Parallelstore.

Security Without the Hype, With Real Solutions


With over 40 sessions dedicated to it, security was a pillar of the event. A major highlight was the evolution of Google SecOps, offering tools to migrate from traditional SIEM solutions, plus an upgraded threat defense suite, including protection from DDoS attacks.

With the backing of Mandiant, acquired by Google, all of this now comes with an added layer of trust. Bottom line? You can embrace AI without opening new security risks.

Collaboration That Flows (Not Interrupts)


As if that wasn’t enough, Google Workspace also got its AI upgrade. Docs, Sheets, Chat, and more now feature content generation, workflow automation, and predictive analysis.

Science, Sustainability & Immersive Experiences


Google also flexed its impact muscle on science, climate, and culture. From climate simulations powered by DeepMind to Formula E hackathons and AI-driven cinematic experiences, the event showed that tech can (and should) move us emotionally, too.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to sustainability, announcing innovations aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the cloud.
